Fix Cannot Type Vietnamese Accents

Problem

You cannot type Vietnamese in Windows using VNI XP or VNI Tan Viet Unicode.  Your computer may frozen, or the accents will not appear and you may get a number after.

  1. You have numbers instead of the familiar accent marks, ex:
    you type: Viet65
    you get : Viet65
  2. You have no accents and no numbers, ex.
    you type: Viet65
    you get: Viet
Causes
  1. Your Tan Ky Mode is off
  2. You have one or more of the following:
    • VPSKeys
    • VietKey
    • VietSpelling
    • Others...
  3. Your new VNI Software was install while the old VNI Software still running.
Solutions

NOTE: You may need to perform one or all three solutions listed below.

  1. If your Tan Ky Mode is Off
    Turn your Tan Ky Mode on
  2. If you have offensive softwares in your computer
    • Remove one or more of those offensive softwares from your computer.
    • Restart VNI XP or VNI Tan Viet Unicode
  3. If you installed new VNI software over the old VNI software
    • Quit all running VNI applications
    • Reinstall your new VNI software
